Welcome to Britannia Fizz – a celebration of British sparkling wines and the exciting journey we've embarked on to bring these products to the forefront of the wine industry. Our mission is simple: to put British Sparkling Wine on the map and on consumers tables, instead of relying on imports from Europe. As the founder of Britannia Fizz, I’m proud to share our story, our dreams, and our vision with you.
A Dream to Celebrate British Sparkling Wine
Founded in the market town of Huntingdon, Britannia Fizz was born out of a passion for high-quality British Sparkling Wine. We believe the UK produces some of the best sparkling wines in the world, yet these incredible bottles often take a backseat to imports from Europe. It’s time for that to change.
Our goal is to offer a wide range of British Sparkling Wines, giving you plenty of choices to explore and enjoy. But it’s not just about the wines – it’s about creating a space for British wine producers to shine. By offering a curated selection of wines, I hope to support and showcase the hardworking producers behind these exceptional bottles.
The Journey So Far: From Licenses to Business Plans
Setting up Britannia Fizz has been an exciting and challenging journey. From earning the necessary licenses to sell alcohol, to crafting a comprehensive business plan, every step has been a learning experience. It’s been a rewarding process, and we are thrilled to see it come to life.
But this is just the beginning. We’re already working on plans to expand our range of British Sparkling Wines, offering even more options to consumers. The long-term vision is even more ambitious: to open a dedicated store specialising in British Sparkling Wine.
Encouraging British Producers and Supporting Local Venues
One of my main goals is to encourage restaurants and wedding venues to stock and serve our products. There are so many amazing local wines waiting to be discovered, and it’s time we give them the recognition they deserve. By promoting British-made products, I believe we can make a significant impact on the local economy and wine culture.
